FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS
When we read about the apostles in First Corinthians 4:9-13 (NASB), do we see ourselves? We should, because in verse 16, Paul, by God’s inspiration, says: “be imitators of me.”
If we are, in fact, believers in the faith of Jesus Christ, walking in His footsteps, doesn’t it follow that we would at least be trying to imitate His apostles; especially since one of them exhorted us to do so?
Obviously, the apostles followed in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. When compared to the apostles, it’s not difficult for most of us to observe failure in church leaders. But, since final judgment belongs to God, make no mistake, the most important question is this: what about you and me; in whose footsteps are we following?
