GOD’S POWER AND GLORY
“The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The Lord is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved.” (Psalm 93:1 NKJV)
When a Christian speaks of God’s power, one must always remember that it is not an arbitrary, ruthless strength; but rather a power that is always exercised in love and in righteousness. This kind of power gives you understanding of the word, “Glory.”
His power is a majesty which fills all who believe in Him, and who obey His Holy Word with wonder and awe. You can see something of this in the works of God’s creation of the universe, i.e., its orderliness of season and days.
Re: the regularity of the sun(s), and moon(s), and stars’ motions. Only the God Whom the Bible reveals, could create out of nothing a world with plants and fishes, and creatures, and man, and give them life, and keep them in going order.
You will understand this more fully in Heaven, but wonder of His power and glory will never cease. You will never come to the end of His glory and power. With angels, believers will one day sing praises of blessing, power, might, wisdom, and glory unto God, forever and ever!
Christians have already begun such praise of God here on earth in worship, both private and public.
Give thanks to God for the opportunity to worship and praise Him for His mighty works of creation and for His loving kindness to you in saving you for Himself through Jesus Christ. Ask the Almighty God to help you be mindful each day of His mercies and kindnesses toward you, so that you may always remember to be thankful to God for all things.
“…Serving together as God directs” (Philippians 1:27 NKJV).
