MAN TO MAN ABOUT BEING A SON OF GOD
A man's relationship with his father is basic. The benefit of a strong affirming bond with "Dad" is powerful.
On the other hand the pain of a lost or nonexistent relationship with a father can last a lifetime. Insecurity and crippled relationships with others are often traced back to what wasn't gained from a loving accepting father.
God Loves His Sons. God's love is strong, fatherly, and complete. Men from all over the country are beginning to understand this relationship for the very first time. Many of us, some for years, have been trying to gain God's approval by performance—doing good things. But it is impossible to live like God's sons before we're in a relationship with Him. A wall of separation has come between God and man. Instead of a relationship we find a barrier. But there is good news!
Reconciliation Is Through Christ. Do you need to be reconciled? The wall that separated us from our Father God has been broken down. Reconciliation is now possible. If you are not in a family relationship with God as a son to his Father this is your primary need.
"For it is by grace you have been saved through faith—and this not from yourselves it is the gift of God...not by works so that no one can boast."(Eph. 2:8-9)
