“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
Many spend time and money in an effort to win a multi-million dollar lottery.
A much greater prize is within reach of every person. The Creator of the heavens and the earth has devised a plan in which people may choose to become His sons and daughters in the life here, with the promise of eternity with Him. His Holy Word is the guide. In the same way that a road map or an instruction sheet can lead to a successful completion of a goal, so also a search of the Scriptures is necessary for a life pleasing to the Creator.
“You will guide me with Your counsel, And afterward receive me to glory” (Psalm 73:24).
“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful” (Psalm 1:1).
1 Peter 1:3, 4 teaches that in His great mercy, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ “has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade...”
God’s Word is an awesome treasure that should never be neglected. In it are the commandments which, if kept secures the relationship with the Father. Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow!
A multi-million dollar lottery falls far short!
