VISION
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18)

An inscription printed on a church building in Sussex, England in 1730 reads: “Vision without a task is but a dream, A task without a vision is drudgery, A vision with a task is the hope of the world.” Do you have a vision of what the church of our Lord ought to be? In it do you see multitudes turning to the Savior, accepting His offer of salvation and becoming a part of that growing spiritual kingdom that has the assurance of final victory (1 Corinthians 15:25ff)? Question: “Is that really a vision or a dream?”

Of all people on earth a Christian should be optimistic, inspired; active in the profession of faith. You should feel that same compulsion Paul felt as he continued his work (1 Corinthians 9:16). Question: “Isn’t that really your hope?” The contingent question: “What are you doing about it?”
