THE BOOK OF JOY
“Rejoice in the word always, again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4)
Philippians is the sweetest of all Paul’s letters. It expresses the love that Paul has for his friends and the love he shares for the Lord. The book is positive. It gives us a sense of warmth, love and caring. It is a beautiful love letter.
Paul let’s us know that Christ’s pattern for our life is Joy! He wants each one of us to be the best that we can be and to know He is our dearest and best friend.
“God works in and we work out.” God works in us through the Word (Bible), through prayer, and through suffering and we work out in daily living and service.
God has a plan for each of us and will help us work it out. God loves us! He will help us to become the person He wants us to be.
It is said that “Life is not a series of disappointing ‘ups and downs’ but rather a sequence of delightful ‘ins and outs.’”
The example is from Jesus, the energy comes from the Holy Spirit—the result is Joy!
