Elijah and Elisha are taking the last walk together. Elijah is about to be taken. Elisha will carry on the walk. But what leads to him getting the power (2 Kings 2)?
Preparation – Gilgal, Bethel, Jericho, Jordan gave a fitness, a moral preparation for the power
Prayer – “Ask what I shall do for thee before I be taken from thee” (v. 9)
Promise – “If ye see me when I am taken from thee” (v. 10)
Possession – Spirit rests on Elisha (vv. 14, 15)
